Moth unveils three new canned cocktails

Ready-to-drink cocktail brand Moth (Mix Of Total Happiness) has added three new flavours to its roster, including an Aperitivo Spritz.

The Moth range.

French 75 will be available in 148 Waitrose stores, Aperitivo Spritz in 252, and the Piña Colada in 277 (plus 170 Tesco stores). The RRP of each 200ml, 10% ABV can is £3.99.

Moth co-founder Rob Wallis told db why these particular cocktails were added to the range: “When deciding which drinks to add to our range we listened to our loyal customers and a French 75, Aperitivo Spritz and a Piña Colada were the most popular choices and cocktails we enjoy ourselves.”

“We deliver a premium but accessible experience for our customers from the taste of the cocktail to the design of the can. We use award winning spirit partners, which we name on our cans to ensure our customers know they are drinking only the very best ingredients. We also put careful consideration into our packaging so that the cans look and feel great to drink from whether it be a dinner party at home or in the park,” Wallis continued.

Both French 75 and Aperitivo Spritz are made with Tarquins Cornish Gin, whereas the Piña Colada uses Duppy Share Rum.

The growth of the RTD market is certainly catching the attention of buyers too. John Vine, spirits buyer for Waitrose, said: “Following the huge success of Moth in Waitrose, we’re incredibly excited to be releasing three new Moth cocktails this winter in time for Christmas. The growth of high quality ready-to-drink cocktails has been huge and I am sure that Moth’s newly released cocktails, the French 75, Piña Colada and Aperitivo Spritz will add further to the success of the brand and continue to delight Waitrose consumers.”

Moth is rapidly becoming one of the most high-profile RTD brands in the UK, quite literally.
