Hennessy partners with Berluti on handcrafted attaché case
LVMH-owned Hennessy Cognac has partnered with men’s fashion house Berluti to create a limited edition attaché case for its Richard Hennessy blend.
The handcrafted case houses a decanter designed by architect Daniel Libeskind, and the liquid inside is the brand’s “finest Cognac”, according to Hennessy.
The case itself is partially hollowed out to reveal the decanter inside, and features patinated cognac-hued Venezia calf leather which has been lined, perforated, and sewn by hand.
The Hennessy X Berluti case launches this month (October), with a highly limited run of 150 available to buy at Hennessy Houses and at the new Hennessy Editions Rares Boutique at Harrods.
The box and decanter is available to purchase for RRP €40,000 (US$38,800).
The liquid inside the decanter was created by eighth generation Master Blender Yann Fillioux, a blend matured in wooden casks for “decades or centuries” that has imbued the liquid with notes of dried fruits and leather.
