Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2022 launches into HK and Japan

LVMH has launched its Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2022 into Hong Kong and Japan with a new sustainable bottle design.

This October, Cloudy Bay’s latest 2022 vintage Sauvignon Blanc is being made available in the east. According to the winery, the “2022 season was more challenging after three near-perfect vintages. The weather was unsettled during flowering with extensive rain during winter. Luckily, Sauvignon Blanc flowered successfully”.

The tough condition reinforced and reminded the winemaking team of the importance of the effort in vineyard management to ensure the quality of the fruits, as such despite the growing season is tough, the harvest took place under excellent conditions and grapes were picked at perfect maturity.

The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc has a zesty and vibrant nose, with notes of juicy citrus and makrut lime underpinned by subtle white nectarine and passionfruit notes.

In this new vintage, the brand is also adapting a new, upgraded sustainable bottle design. First, the house effectively reduced carbon footprint and a minimum 60% recycled content by having the French green coloured glass is made in New Zealand.
The bottle is embossed with monogram logo and the Richmond Ranges showing the distinctive shape of the mountains that can be seen from the winery. The revamped bottle and label embrace Cloudy Bay’s value of simplicity and commitment to the nature.

Yang Shen, estate director of Cloudy Bay said: “We are proud of our history, feel a sense of responsibility to ensure that we challenge ourselves to continually improve in everything that we do, and believe that our 2022 vintage in this bottle is a definite step in the right direction. It’s a story of adventure and innovation, of dedication and hard work, and reflects where we are right now.”
