Carlsberg launches exclusive experimental anniversary beers
Carlsberg has launched a series of exclusive experimental beers to celebrate its anniversary of 175 years of brewing.
The three new beers, developed in the Carlsberg Research Laboratory, include: a brut beer, a barrel aged lager and a wheat lager.
The Carlsberg Brut beer is made with Montrachet yeast and, according to the brewer, includes notes of yuzu, grapefruit and rose water; the Carlsberg Barrel Aged Lager has been lagered in Danish whisky barrels for 175 days and, according to Carlsberg, has a complex character and is golden in colour and the Carlsberg Wheat Lager has been brewed with 100% wheat malt and has been dry-hopped with Nelson Sauvin hops.
According to Carlsberg, the three experimental anniversary brews have been “made available in numerous markets around the globe as limited editions”.
In terms of new releases for the beer giant, and to mark 30 years of the brewer’s partnership with the Premier League side, Carlsberg also recently unveiled six limited edition packs celebrating some of the club’s most revered players, and the kits they wore.
The brewer has also re-evaluated its outlook for the rest of the fiscal year following the company’s breweries in Ukraine being able to operate at a consistent level in recent months, despite the ongoing conflict.
