Virtual Beer School launches its next course from September
For people who want to learn more about beer, gaining a credible beer qualification might be an avenue worth exploring next month.
The Virtual Beer School, developed by award-winning beer educator, beer sommelier and advanced cicerone Natalya Watson, offers live, interactive “classroom-style” online prep courses for the certified beer server and certified cicerone exams and has released new dates for September.
Virtual Beer School: Level 1 is open to anyone around the world with an interest in building up their beer knowledge. (There is no requirement to take the certified beer server exam at the end.) The next course begins on 1 September 2022.
For those who have already passed their certified beer server qualification, Virtual Beer School: Level 2 helps prepare attendees for the written portion of the certified cicerone exam. The next course begins on 5 September 2022.
Launched in September 2020, Watson designed Virtual Beer School to be approachable and accessible, to build confidence, and to create community.
As of mid-2022, nearly 300 students have now taken Watson’s courses and she was recently named Training Professional of the Year at the British Institute of Innkeeping’s National Innovation in Training Awards.
