Dutch-Indonesian gin and jenever producer launches two RTDs in the UK
The family-run Dutch-Indonesian gin and jenever company, Bobby’s, has introduced a premixed gin and tonic and a gin and pink lemonade.
The G&T variant contains Bobby’s gin, paired with a premium tonic and its recommended serve is an orange slice decorated with cloves. For the Gin & Pink Lemonade, Bobby’s has partnered with local firm Pinkyrose, which produces a range of handmade, all-natural, lemonade syrups.
The 9% ABV RTDs are available in 250ml cans and feature an ‘Ikat’ pattern, a traditional Indonesian design. The drinks will be distributed in the UK by Spirit Cartel and will retail at £3.50 per can.
The company, which is based in the home of gin, Schiedam, launched its flagship gin and jenever in the UK in 2019 showcasing a blend of Dutch and Indonesian flavours in Britain for the first time.
Bobby’s is named after the two founders’ grandfather who emigrated to Holland in the ‘50s, but who missed the taste of Indonesia so much that he started infusing Dutch jenever with spices from his homeland. Inspired by this story, in 2014 his grandsons partnered with one of Holland’s oldest distilleries, Herman Jansen, to create a range of drinks.
