Rhubarb vodka launched by The Edwards Potato Vodka Company

The Edwards Potato Vodka Company has launched a rhubarb flavoured vodka into its portfolio in time for the summer.

The spirit, named Edwards 1902 English Rhubarb Vodka, is made from 100% British ingredients and distilled from King Edwards potatoes grown across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire along with 30% pressed rhubarb juice sourced from Yorkshire’s ‘Rhubarb Triangle’.

The vodka is then distilled at the Elsham Wold Distillery, close to where the first King Edwards potato was cultivated in 1902, giving the drink a nod to the provenance and location of its origins.

In creating its vodka range, Edwards also works with a Yorkshire glass supplier for its bespoke bottle, controlling the production process of the vodka ‘from soil to spirit’ and offer consumers a premium carbon-friendly alternative to vodkas sourced from overseas.

Edwards 1902 Rhubarb retails at the company website for £40 per bottle and is also available online at Master of Malt for £34.95.

The company, which recently collaborated with Andy Clarke, ITV This Morning’s drinks expert, saw the creation of an array of summer cocktails that aim to showcase the versatility of the newly launched spirit.
