John Cena and Jason Momoa drop into Irish pub in London
Star of the wrestling ring and the silver screen, John Cena, and Game of Thrones‘ Jason Momoa went for a pint of the black stuff at The Auld Shillelagh in Stoke Newington.

Though the visit took place last month, it was shared to the pub’s social media last week. The pair, described as “two of Hollywood’s finest” in the post caption, were said to have come in for a pint of Guinness in what is widely celebrated as one of the most lively and authentic of Irish pubs in the British capital.
Cena, WWE’s highest paid wrestler on $9.5million in 2016 according to Forbes, has enjoyed a highly lucrative career since hanging up the wrestling spandex, having gone on to don the superhero spandex in 2021’s The Suicide Squad. He’ll certainly need the money given what’s happening to London pint prices.
Several regular patrons viewing the post were left saddened to not have been there to meet the star of Aquaman (2018) and Surf’s Up 2: WaveMania (2017) . Perfect pour connoisseur @shitlondonguinness commented: “Gutted to have missed this. Incredible scenes.”
It’s not clear whether Cena and Momoa were filming in London together, or if they were just out on the town. The pub did share that they helped collect glasses afterwards. Though the two confine their fighting to film these days, it would still be handy to have them in your corner of the bar on a night out.
Perhaps the A-listers were encouraged to visit The Auld Shillelagh due to its inclusion in db‘s top 10 Irish pubs and bars in London.
