Aqua Kyoto opens rooftop drinking terrace above London’s Regent Street
The Aqua Restaurant Group has launched a new rooftop drinks terrace as part of its Aqua Kyoto venue that overlooks London’s Regent Street.
Set in the space on the top floor of the former Dickins & Jones department store in the heart of the west end, Aqua Kyoto serves up the contemporary Japanese cuisine of Tokyo’s Ginza district alongside delicately-flavoured cocktails.
The rooftop space, which has been transformed into a blooming paradise of silk hydrangeas with panoramic views of the city, will host guests who want to enjoy the warmer weather alongside an array of new cocktails.
Highlights from the menu include Sweet Escape, which mixes Pampero rum, Chambord, Peach Schnapps, vanilla, passion fruit and lemon and Geisha, combining sake, vodka, lychee and rose.
According to the group, “the drinks pair beautifully with Aqua Kyoto’s well-crafted bar menu which features Japanese delights such as prawn & shiso tempura, yuzu kosho mayo and spicy tuna, tobiko and avocado maki roll”.
The terrace is open for lunch and drinks Monday-Friday and drinks Saturday-Sunday, plus the venue’s lunch menu offers guests a deluxe bento box selection which includes dishes such as yuzu teriyaki salmon, tempura, maki, rice and miso soup. However, Aqua Kyoto’s four course set lunch menu is also available for £32 per person.
Additionally, Aqua Kyoto’s free-flowing weekend brunch offers guests Japanese dishes paired with free-flowing prosecco or cocktails all accompanied by live DJ sets and entertainment.
