The Nest in The Treehouse showcases cocktails with British seasonality
London rooftop venue The Nest in The Treehouse launches a range of new cocktails featuring five seasonal flavours using British ingredients.
The London bar, which is famed for its panoramic views across the capital, has launched a cocktail menu that centres on five core flavours. The seasonal flavour pillars are: Lemongrass, Basil & Strawberry, Rhubarb, Pear and Beetroot and have become the basis for its 10 new cocktails.
The list, which has been created by beverage manager Aiden Page and The Nest’s team, includes two cocktails per flavour and showcasing “the versatility of the ingredients within sustainable and near zero-waste recipes”.
The 10 new serves include a broad range of cocktails, namely: Citronella Highball, Lemongrass Bellini, Royal Kiss, Basil Shrub, Rhubarb Cooler, Rhubarb Margarita, The Nest Martini, A’Pear, Golden Gimlet and Purple Daisy.
Additionally, for those avoiding alcohol, each of the cocktails can be ordered as non-alcoholic spritz variants while The Nest in Treehouse is also adapting its food menu in celebration of each of the seasonal flavours, with a dish per flavour profile launching in union with the new drinks releases.
Page explained: “We wanted The Nest’s new menu to highlight the best of British seasonal ingredients. Focusing on the quality and taste of the flavour and how it can be explored in different ways – by using simple ingredients but mixing them into complex tasting cocktails, yet at the same time still identifiable to some of our most beloved drinks.”
