Monkey 47 partners with Japanese streetwear brand for capsule collection
Gin brand Monkey 47 has teamed up with A Bathing Ape (BAPE), Japan’s most popular streetwear brand, to create limited-edition fashion and spirit items.
Hailing from the Black Forest in Germany, Pernod Ricard’s ultra-premium gin brand Monkey 47 has created an exclusive capsule collection combing “the best from the urban clothing and gin art worlds”.
The collection comprises a hoodie, Tshirt, Hawaiian shirt, skateboard, and limited edition bottle of Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Dry Gin. Each of the signature fashion pieces comes in BAPE’s iconic camo design in green, pink, and blue colours.
Alexander Stein, founder of Monkey 47, said: “Innovation and collaboration is at the very heart of both brands and for Monkey 47, experimentation with new flavours, aromas and partners is part of our DNA. As a hand-crafted gin, we know how important it is for the end product to be a labour of love and we’re hugely excited to be bringing our expertise from the world of gin to fashion.”
The limited-edition drop will land in BAPE’s flagship stores globally on 30 April, including China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Dubai, Singapore, UK, US and Germany.
