William Grant & Sons launches Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin
William Grant & Son’s has released Hendrick’s Neptunia, a limited edition gin that “encapsulates the magic of the sea”.
Hendrick’s Neptunia, created by master distiller Lesley Gracie, is made with a blend of Scottish coastal botanicals that are “unmistakingly Hendrick’s” and combines “a smooth, bright citrus finish with delicious notes of a distant sea breeze”.
Speaking to db, Sarah Berardi, Hendrick’s UK ambassador said: “What makes our new limited release Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin so special is its inspiration and conception from our master distiller Lesley Gracie’s own memories of the sea, through which we endeavour to evoke for our consumers. Unmistakably Hendrick’s, the carefully crafted blend of coastal botanicals with a bright a citrus finish delivers a flavour so refreshing that emulates that freeing feeling of the sea we all love and cherish.”
According to Gracie: “Most of my creations are based on memories. Hendrick’s Neptunia, for me, is that freeing feeling of the sea bottled in a gin – the wind in your hair and the salty sea breeze on your face. You have that distinctive fresh character of coastal herbs, depth of flavour from the sea botanicals and an unmistakable clean, bright citrus finish that lifts and lightens in a round, refreshing way that makes it Hendrick’s.”
Berardi added: “Hendrick’s Neptunia is exquisite with tonic and a slice of cucumber, but if you’re embarking on an adventure with friends, try setting sail with a Neptunia Fizz. It’s remarkably easy to make.”
The recipe for Hendrick’s Neptunia Fizz involves combining Hendrick’s Neptunia with fresh lime, simple syrup and soda water in an ice cube-filled highball glass before storring and garnishing with slices of cucumber.
Hendrick’s Neptunia will be available from the start of March and will retail at £30 per bottle via most retailers as well as being available online via Amazon and Clink.
