VSPT Wines earns Sustainable Choice Seal in Sweden

Chilean wine producers GatoNegro and Santa Helena, both part of VSPT Wine Group, have won the right to feature the sustainable seal on their bottles when sold on the Swedish market.

Following an extensive audit from the Swedish Monopoly, which considered the use of ecopackaging, ethical working conditions for employees, and the environmental footprint of products, two wines produced by GatoNegro and two wines by Santa Helena have been granted the right to sport the Sustainable Seal.

GatoNegro Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, and Santa Helena Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere (all produced in Chile’s Central Valley) will be adorned with the green sticker to show that they have received the accreditation.

VSPT Wines are leaders in the production of Chilean and Argentine wines, and have been one of the critical innovative forces in New World wine.

In addition to preparing to use 100% sustainable packaging by 2030, VSPT is  also committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. This latest distinction is a recognition of the steps they have taken towards these objectives, and shows Swedish consumers that both GatoNegro and Santa Helena are brands which can be trusted.

Chief of corporate affairs and innovation, Bárbara Wolff, outlined VSPT Wines’ approach: “We are proud of our progress and the commitment we have made to sustainability. Setting ambitious goals allows us to move forward at a steady pace, challenging both the industry as well as ourselves, to innovate and aim higher and higher.”
