González Byass chairman named CEEV president
Chairman of González Byass, Mauricio González Gordon, is the newly-elected president of the Comité Européen des Entreprises Vins (CEEV), succeeding Jean-Marie Barillère, director of Champagne at Moët & Chandon.
González Gordon (pictured) held his first meeting as president yesterday in Brussels, where the CEEV thanked Barillère for nine years of “outstanding service”, and welcomed a new member and a new country: the Austrian Federal Association of Agricultural Trade (Bundesgremium des Agrarhandels).
Part of the ‘Commerce’ division of the Austrian Economic Chamber (WKO), the Austrian Federal Association of Agricultural Trade represents all Austrian traders of agricultural products such as grain, seed and feed, fruit and vegetable, livestock and meat, wine and liquors. The Association counts over 2.000 member companies in the ‘wine and liquors’ sub-sector, of which 1,696 are wine makers and traders and 400 are wine retailers.
The new board of the CEEV was also named, with positions held for a three-years, and can be seen below.

Finally, the CEEV said that its deepest thoughts were with its Ukrainian member association, UKRVINPROM, and the whole Ukrainian people, for the tragedy they are currently going through.
