db recommends: Nebbiolo Day tasting 3 March
Nebbiolo Day returns to London on 3 March for a tasting with some 81 producers, taking in a new release from every participating producer and seminars from Walter Speller and Alessandro Masnaghetti running throughout the day.
Nebbiolo Day is now in its 3rd edition, with the first iteration taking place in 2017.
The event will showcases the widest range of Nebbiolo styles imaginable and from terroirs as diverse as Alto Piemonte, Barolo, Barbaresco and the steep terraced vineyards of alpine Valtellina, and features seminars from Walter Speller, Italian Wine Editor at jancisrobinson.com and world-renowned Barolo and Barbaresco expert Alessandro Masnaghetti. Please note that spaces at the seminars are now completely fully booked.
A walk-around tasting offers trade visitors the chance to witness new vintages well before major trade shows such as ProWein and Vinitaly.
The full Nebbiolo Day 3rd Edition tasting catalogue is now online featuring 81 producers, 18 denominations, 100s of Nebbiolo wines including Barolo, Barbaresco & Valtellina, maps by Alessandro Masnaghetti, the complete list of the walk-around new release tasting, 3 indices – alphabetic, denomination and stand number – for quick reference and in-depth articles on Nebbiolo and the regions where it is grown.
