102-year-old woman celebrates birthday with Tequila shots and pizza
Lily Bullen, 102, recently celebrated her milestone birthday with Tequila shots and pizza, sticking by her life motto, “live one day at a time because tomorrow is never promised”.
Lily Bullen has an outlook on life we could all learn a lesson from; still embracing parties and new experiences at 102 years old.
According to a report in The Mirror, Lily recently celebrated her 102nd year surrounded by friends and family with her birthday ritual: downing a shot of Tequila.
Remarkably, Lily’s sense of fun and adventure lead her to trying ice skating for the first time at the age of 99, and she says that having a love for life is the secret to her longevity.
“Live one day at a time because tomorrow is never promised,” she says.
And her granddaughter added, “she had a surprise birthday party for her 100th birthday, where she did a tequila shot, she also did a Jägerbomb and tequila shot at our wedding in 2013.
“The world went into lockdown the week after her birthday. She’s been reminiscing about the Birmingham bombings with the Russia Ukraine news. Her philosophy is to live one day at a time because tomorrow is never promised.”
