Ukrainian brewery switches from craft beer to Molotov cocktails
In remarkable news from Ukraine, it is being reported that Pravda Brewery paused its beer production in order to make Molotov cocktails.
The Pravda Brewery made an appeal on social media urging people to make donations so that the petrol bombs can be made, or bring ingredients directly to the brewery.
Local news outlet The Kyiv Independent reported that the Lviv-based brewery paused its bottling operations to make Molotov cocktails, while also offering free tea and coffee to Ukraine’s military and police.
“Our freedom is at stake,” the brewery wrote on Instagram.
It added, “We do not serve citizens of Russia and Belarus. If you have a weapon with you, please leave it in our security and they will return it to you on the way out.”
Meanwhile in London, Pinch, the Ukrainian cocktail bar in Fitzrovia, is hosting a “donate with drinks” fundraiser tonight (Monday 28 February), partnering with Dima’s Ukrainian Vodka.

All cocktails will cost £10, with every penny going to British-Ukrainian aid. The Nightjar’s Tony Pescatori and Manuel Spolaore of The Ritz will be creating the drinks.
