Nebbiolo Day returns to London on 3 March
Nebbiolo Day 2022, now in its third edition, will return to London on 3 March, after being postponed from 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Organisers polled the producers that had appeared in previous editions of the show – they were almost unanimously in favour of the event taking place this year, and 81 have already firmly committed to the day, per a press release.
Nebbiolo Day showcases the widest range of Nebbiolo styles imaginable and from terroirs as diverse as Alto Piemonte, Barolo, Barbaresco and the steep terraced vineyards of alpine Valtellina. For the first time the renown ARPEPE estate will present their wines, of which even their entry level Valtellina Rosso gets 100days on the skins. Giacomo Fenocchio’s Barolo Bussia 90 Dì with 90 days comes a second close.
The promenade-style tasting will feature a new release from every participating producer and aims to demonstrate how finely tuned Nebbiolo is to North Italy’s diverse terroirs.
Walter Speller, Italian wine editor at JancisRobinson.com and Alessandro Masnaghetti, world-renowned expert on Barolo and Barbaresco, will run several seminars on the day, the details of which are to be announced shortly.
