Enotria appoints new hires to bolster its team

Wine and spirit distributor Enotria&Coe has bolstered its team with the appointment of a new supply chain manager and buying director.

Jon Smith has joined the company this month from Matthew Clark as supply chain director, to oversee the warehouse, transport and supply chain teams. He joins the company from Matthew Clark where he was head of supply chain, having worked in different roles, from depot manager to sales director and regional managing director.

Troy Christensen, CEO of Enotria&Coe said Smith’s unique combination of sales and supply chain experience made him well-suited to oversee the development of the company’s supply chain and in tune with Enotria’s ethos of innovating to find new solutions to resolve potential issues for our customers.

Smith’s appointment follows the addition of Phil Pothecary as buying director to oversee the wine and spirits buying teams and build on its partnerships with breweries and third-party logistics. Prior to joining the company in the run up to Christmas, Pothecary spent nine years at Drake and Morgan, and was also purchasing director contract caterer WSH, which operates Baxter Storey, Searcy’s and Benugo, and before that, Novus Leisure. He will oversees the launch of four new producers to the portfolio in February.

“At a time when we are celebrating Enotria&Coe’s heritage, it’s incredibly important to signal that we are at the forefront of driving change and innovation,” Christensen added.
