Coravin launches sparkling wine preservation device in Asia

A genius new device that keeps your fizz lively for two weeks after has launched in the Asian market.

Coravin has announced the roll-out of its game changing Sparkling Wine Preservation System in Asia.

Designed for both on-trade and at-home consumers, the system pairs a universal-fit stopper with a hand-held charging unit to maintain the carbonation levels of sparkling wine between pours. The device can provide two weeks of preservation.

“When we first introduced the original Coravin system, we always knew that someday we would bring the same power and freedom to the sparkling wine category,” said Greg Lambrecht, founder of Coravin.

“After spending years in development, we’re thrilled to introduce Coravin Sparkling and deliver on our continued vision to allow anyone to pour any wine, still or sparkling, in any amount, without the pressure to quickly finish the bottle or the fear of wasting it.”

The package comes with a Sparkling Charger Device, two Sparkling Stoppers, four Coravin Pure™ Sparkling CO2 Capsules and two protective bottle sleeves.

The Sparkling Stopper itself features a clever internal locking clamp that self-adjusts to fit securely onto all standard 750 mL and 1.5L magnum bottles.

This proprietary locking design also maintains up to 55 psi of pressure, secure enough to preserve the natural pressure found in sparkling wines before they have been opened.

The patent-pending Sparkling Charger  works by using Coravin Pure™ Sparkling CO2 Capsules to inject carbon dioxide into the bottle through the Sparkling Stopper to fill the bottle.

To celebrate the launch of the new product, Coravin has partnered with Moët Hennessy, and aims to “revolutionise by-the-glass consumption of Champagne and sparkling wines”. Together, both partners will ensure its global distribution, focusing on restaurants, wine bars, and other establishments with on-premise consumption of fine drinks.

In Hong Kong, the Coravin Sparkling™ Sparkling Wine Preservation System is available online at www.coravin.hk and Bidvino, and at Altaya wine and Madison wine, priced at HK$3,680.

The new system is also available in Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Philippines, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Thailand, Malaysia and Cambodia.
