Rock legend grabs beer in local bar and no-one realised it was him
It’s not every day that a legendary rock singer strolls into your bar for a beer, and even more rare that no-one even realises until after they’ve left…
That’s exactly what happened when Mick Jagger, iconic lead singer of The Rolling Stones, visited the Thirsty Beaver Saloon in Charlotte, North Carolina, the day before the Stones played a gig in the city.
“Out and about last night in Charlotte, NC.” Jagger captioned a photograph of himself sipping a beer outside the bar.
Remarkably, though, Jagger apparently went unnoticed while in the bar, despite people appearing in the background of the singer’s Twitter post apparently having tickets to the band’s gig the following night.

“He was in here and then he was gone,” co-owner, Brian Wilson, told The Charlotte Observer.
“Nobody really mentioned that anybody famous had been here – so, don’t think they noticed,” he added, speaking to CNN.
“But this morning my phone did!”
Wilson described the Thirsty Beaver Saloon as an “eclectic” venue where a megastar may well be able to remain incognito, though was sure to give the barman some stick for failing to spot Mick Jagger.
The Thirsty Beaver Saloon bar actually holds a remarkable position in Charlotte and is visually arresting when viewed in the context of its surroundings.
Reportedly, the bar’s owners refused to sell up when developers came to build large apartment buildings on the adjacent land, and so the saloon bar is flanked on all sides by towering blocks.
