London cocktail bars to get Hoshizaki ice diamonds

An ice delivery service, offering ice diamonds for cocktails that last up to 10 times longer than normal ice, has rolled out an ice bike courier service to help London bars.

The company, named Icebox, which now owns the world’s first sustainable electric ice delivery bike, has started helping bars across the capital when stocks have run low or events have needed a drinks upgrade.

Hoshizaki ice plants remove all the air from the ice giving a denser, clearer product that melts more slowly.

The Icebox “Ice-blast” bike means that an “Ice-bro” can deliver emergency bagged ice, premium Hoshizaki ice as well as bespoke cocktail ice cubes very quickly to London bars. The Icebox portfolio includes: Spheres, logo cubes, shards, extra-large cubes “for maximum integrity and minimum dilution” as well as its new diamond design.

“Icebox is all about innovation, creativity and fun. Ice-bro is a larger-than-life character and carries enough product to tide bars over until we can get our van to them. Plus, some bars have been able to experience first-hand our new premium products which turn a high-quality drink into a super-premium drink,” said Icebox managing director, Icebox, Greg Pittard.

“If you’re talking premium liquor, you expect a premium glass and ice to complete the experience. All our ice is high density, so it lasts up to 10 times longer than normal ice, it’s the bar manager’s ally,” added Pittard.
