Bruno Mars donates rum profits to Hawaii music education
Popstar Bruno Mars, co-owner of SelvaRey Rum, has pledged to donate 100% of the profits earned in Hawaii for the remainder of the year to a local Honolulu music programme.
Donations will go to the Honolulu Community College’s Music & Entertainment Learning Experience program in Hawaii, where Mars was born and raised, according to MauiNow‘s reporting.
The SelvaRey rum range includes white, chocolate, and coconut rums, as well as a SelvaRey Owner’s Reserve, which retails at US$150 and is a blend of 15 to 25-year aged rums.

Mars is responsible for SelvaRey’s bottle designs, all of which come from a single estate in Panama. He also directed and starred in the company’s campaign video.
Bruno Mars is not the only celeb to be seen in a drinks ad campaign of late. Doja Cat recently collaborated with PepsiCo in a Grease-inspired advert. Find out more on that here.
