US bartender kidnapped, found dead as ‘person of interest’ taken into custody
A bartender from Atlanta, Georgia was kidnapped and later found dead after she finished her shift in the early hours of Friday morning. A man has since been charged with murder after a high speed car chase.

Per a report in The Daily Mail, 27-year-old Mariam Abdulrab finished her shift at Revery VR Bar in the early hours of Friday morning, and stopped at a gas station before heading home.
She was followed, and her kidnapper struck as Abdulrab was walking to her front door, a friend posted on Facebook.
The post stated that she was kidnapped between the hours of 4.30am and 5am outside her home near Grant Park in southeast Atlanta.
According to the Daily Mail, police were called to 501 Burroughs Street at around 5am after a 911 call reported that Abdulrab had been forced into a car.
Just hours later, Abdulrab’s body was discovered – just before 10am in the Lakewood Heights neighbourhood.
“Upon arrival, investigators located a deceased female and determined she was the same female apparently kidnapped from Burroughs Street hours earlier,” Atlanta police spokesman Sgt John Chafee said per The Independent.
“Investigators were able to identify a person of interest in the kidnapping and he has been detained outside the city.”
“My daughter was the most peaceful and loving person. She did not deserve this,” the 27-year-old’s father, Khalid Abdulrab, told reporters.
An individual who was initially named as a “person of interest” in the case now faces charged of murder, kidnapping, assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to reports citing the Atlanta Police Department.
DeMarcus Brinkley, 27, is said to be in a stable condition after leading police on a high-speed car chase that culminated in Brinkley colliding with another vehicle.
Brinkley will be charged with murder, kidnapping, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, it is reported.
