Pubs pledge buy-one-get-one-free drinks in support of mental health charity CALM
Hundreds of locations across the UK are offering free drinks this August, encouraging customers to reach out to friends and family to join them at the pub.
As part of the National Pub Fortnight campaign, Stonegate Group has partnered with Budweiser, Diageo, Heineken, Molson Coors, Carlsberg, and Coca Cola, offering buy-one-get-one-free on selected drinks from Monday 9 to Sunday 22 August.
Rolled out across more than 1,500 pubs up and down the country, the initiative supports suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
Pubs across the UK are raising money in support of the charity’s work in providing frontline support for those facing a crisis point. Stonegate Group will also be making a significant contribution to CALM following the campaign.
Nick Light, Managing Director of Stonegate Pub Partners, said: “For the last 18-months, our social contact has been restricted, leaving some people with feelings of loneliness. That’s why we’re running this year’s National Pub Fortnight in support of CALM’s helpline services, and encouraging our customers to reach out to friends and family members for a drink.”
Drinks included in the two-for-one offer include Stella Artois, Guinness, all variants of Gordon’s Gin, Strongbow, Coca Cola, and a selection of other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Customers are invited to download a voucher and check out their nearest participating pub via the Great British Pubs website.
