No artificial colours and flavours were used in the production of High Point Drinks‘ Ruby Aperitif and Amber Digestif.

Cornish spring water, tea leaves and a selection of natural ingredients sourced from the surrounding Cornish countryside were used to create the drinks, which were infused, fermented and blended to create taste and colour.

Both drinks come in at £19.99 per 700ml bottle. The Ruby Aperitif, which launched on 24 August, is available to buy online on Amazon or via the High Point Drinks website.

High Point Drinks is the brainchild of Eddie Lofthouse, founder of Cornish brewery Harbour Brewing. The new venture sees Lofthouse moving into the low and no ABV category, which continues to grow.

Lofthouse noted: “The popularity of alcohol free alternatives is on the rise and we are delighted to be launching High Point Ruby and High Point Amber to this rapidly growing sector.

“We are seeing more and more that consumers are looking for choice in what they are drinking within the non alcoholic space and we hope that High Point will be a great new, premium addition.

As reported by In Your Area, Lofthouse went on to explain what goes into the new products. He said: “Through its unique fermentation process, High Point offers a drink with a depth and variety of flavours. It is a healthy alternative to alcohol as well as being a sustainably sound drink, made with local, natural ingredients gathered from around our HQ in Cornwall.”

High Point Drinks has come up with some fun and inventive cocktails with their aperitif and digestif as a base, including the Ruby Clover Club, Amber Low Ball and intriguingly named Amber Penicillin.

Both High Point Drinks and Harbour Brewing are based near Bodmin in Cornwall.
