Veuve Clicquot Champagne partners with Tate Modern
Veuve Clicquot Champagne has announced a year-long partnership with London’s Tate Modern to help support the gallery.
Following Veuve Clicquot’s collaboration with Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama on the producer’s vintage La Grande Dame 2012, Veuve Clicquot’s new partnership coincides with the Tate Modern exhibition Yayoi Kusama: Mirror Infinity Rooms.
The exhibition is running at Tate Modern until June 2022, and the new partnership enables Veuve Clicquot to host several private viewings for clients and customers.
In addition, Veuve Clicquot cuvées will be available in the bar at Tate Modern, with the flagship Yellow Label NV becoming house pour Champagne. Tate also plans to launch Kusama-inspired menus and afternoon teas paired with Veuve Clicquot.
Last year, Veuve Clicquot’s La Grande Dame 2012 case and bottle was been designed by Yayoi Kusama, using her symbols: flowers and polka dots.
“Veuve Clicquot and Yayoi Kusama first worked together in 2006 when, for a charity auction in Tokyo, Kusama gave new life to an original portrait of Madame Clicquot by using her famous polka dots pattern,” commented Alexei Rosin, managing director at Moët Hennessy UK.
“We reached a new and inspiring milestone with the 2012 limited-edition last year and have been looking forward to celebrating the Kusama exhibition at Tate Modern.”
Veuve Clicquot’s partnership with Tate Modern runs from 1 June to 31 May 2022, and the La Grande Dame Yayoi Kusama Limited Edition 2012 will retail for £160.00 from the Tate Modern shop (and online).
