A new candle has been released that smells just like bottomless brunch, specifically a Mimosa. Justmylook has launched the candle amid surging interest in bottomless brunches as lockdown eases.

Vins de Bourgogne hosted a Zoom tasting this week shining a light on some of the new players representing the next generation in the revered French region.

Among them was Lisa Saumaize of Domaine Saumaize-Michelin in Pouilly-Fuissé, who spoke of her estate’s conversion to biodynamics in 2006 in response to climate change, and a desire to seek out drought-resistant rootstocks as temperatures continue to climb.

Also showcasing their wines was Camille Feuillat of Domaine Feuillat-Juillot, who gained valuable experience in California’s Napa Valley, and then headed to the Languedoc before returning to Burgundy to join her mother in the running of their estate.

During the tasting she spoke of the domaine’s gradual move towards organic practices, and her hunger to innovate, having been the first winery in Montagny to make a wine in terracotta pots.

Completing the trio was Lauriane André of Domaine Françoise André in Beaune, who spoke of her estate’s switch from selling their grapes to producing bottled wine in 2009. André said it is increasingly common to find female domaine owners and managers in Bourgogne, and that the trend is only going to grow.

And Crystal Head Vodka has released a Pride Edition Magnum, with a percentage of sales going to the brand’s charity partner Kaleidoscope Trust, the international LGBT+ human rights charity. The bottle, which launched on 1 June, retails for £140 at Selfridges.
