Bride tips waitress who spilled gravy all over her mother-in-law’s white wedding outfit
One former waitress has revealed the story of how she received a considerable tip from the bride after spilling gravy all over her mother-in-law’s white wedding outfit.

Now, as we all know, wearing white to a wedding if you’re not the bride is something of a faux pas. After all, the bride wears white. That’s just the way it tends to go.
However, one mother-in-law apparently chose not to follow this well-trodden path, a decision she was surely left to regret after a waitress accidentally spilled gravy all over the outfit.
The woman, who used to waitress at weddings but has dyspraxia, which, she says, made her “too clumsy” and was “always dropping things” has now recounted the story in a viral video.
“It was the only wedding I’ve ever served actually,” TikToker chloe_beeee revealed. “I spilt a whole boat of gravy into the lap of the mother-in-law of the bride.”
“Obviously, it was hot and it was everywhere but it didn’t burn her, thank God,” she continued.
Thankfully, both wedding parties lived nearby to the venue, so the mother-in-law was able to nip home and change the gravy-soaked outfit.
“I was young and I was beside myself, I was crying, I was so upset because I thought I had ruined this couple’s wedding,” the former waitress went on.
But by happy chance, her mistake lead to her receiving a £55 tip, after the bride came to her rescue.
“The bride came over to me, she shook my hand and she thanked me. She said ‘my mother-in-law shouldn’t have been wearing white to my wedding day’, and then she gave me a £55 tip,” the TikToker revealed.
“When I see her in town now we still say hi”.
It sounds like, rather than ruining the occasion, this former waitress made the bride’s day!
