The visually arresting design is sure to add a stunning architectural feature to either a high-end restaurant or the luxury home of a serious oenophile and wow guests with its seamless robotic action, selecting and serving your bottle of choice to you and your company.

“Whether it is enjoyed right in your own home, at a high end restaurant/bar or anywhere you can imagine, your wine collection will always be right at your fingertips with WineCab’s sensory technology”, a product listing on WineCab’s website reads.

The design of the wine wall is open to various customisation options, though WineCab says that each system will include an integrated AI system that acts as a “virtual sommelier”. It will offer wine and food pairing suggestions, as well as personalised recommendations and search capabilities based on one’s preferences.

With prices starting from $179,000 WineCab’s wine walls very much sit at the high end of the price point in the market. The systems are temperature controlled and boast the “optimal humidity range for wine storage” according to a website listing.

Security features include facial recognition to grant access to one’s wine collection, motion sensors to detect unwanted movement and the ability to lock out single bottles as desired.

Elsewhere in the luxury market, Italian jewellery brand Bulgari is joining forces with Champagne house Dom Pérignon for the release of a limited edition 2004 rosé Champagne.
