Coors Light will let you trade in your quarantine clutter for its weight in free beer

Coors Light is inviting people to trade in their ‘quarantine clutter’ for its weight in free beer, with the accumulated goods subsequently being donated to charity by the beer giant.

Free beer: trade goods for Coors Light

According to a press release, “over the past year, 43% of Americans have participated in “comfort buying””. Predictably, this surely means that many of us have accrued goods and products that we don’t really have any use for gathering dust in the corner of the room.

If this sounds familiar, then Coors Light might just have the perfect solution for you. Yes, you can declutter your house, receive your unwanted goods’ weight in free beer and be safe in the knowledge that you’re doing your bit for charity along the way.

Coors Light is setting up trade-in sites this weekend, where eligible participants will be able to swap their goods for beer.

“People bought a whole bunch of stuff to help them chill out throughout the pandemic. We’ve all bought more bread makers, ring lights and tie-dye kits than we know what to do with. And a year later, you don’t need a bunch of stuff to chill,” said Marcelo Pascoa, Vice President of Marketing at Molson Coors. “Spring is here, the March Hoops tournament is back. Whatever chill means to you, we want people to trade in unloved purchases for Coors Light. We’ll weigh your smoothie blender or bicycle and give you its weight equivalent in cases of beer.”

The trade-in sites will be located at Lot S1 at The Battery in Atlanta, Georgia and Lot G of Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

More information – and terms and conditions – can be found on the trade-in rules page, here.

Earlier this year, we reported the news that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was partnering with Molson Coors on a hard seltzer. You can read that story in full here.
