Aldi selling chocolate wine for Valentine’s Day
Discount retailer Aldi is getting its customers in the mood for Valentine’s Day via a red wine called The Chocolate Cellar infused with “natural dark chocolate flavours”.
As reported by Delish, combining two V Day must-haves into one, according to Aldi the wine boasts notes of “dark fruit flavours and decadent dark chocolate”, and pairs well with pastries, biscotti, fruits and desserts.
The Chocolate Cellar is produced by Seattle-based drinks firm Precept Wine. On sale at Aldi stores in the US, the wine costs $7.99 per bottle.
This isn’t the first time Aldi has launched an unusual flavoured wine, having enjoyed success last summer with a white wine infused with coconut and cream.
