44lbs of cocaine ‘frosted’ Corn Flakes seized by US customs officials
A shipment of cereal containing some 44lbs of cocaine that carried a street value of nearly US$3m was seized by US Customs and Border Protection, it has been announced.
Last week, US Customs and Border Protection announced that they had intercepted the shipment, which contained cocaine-coated cereal that had made its way to the country from Peru.
Authorities said that the shipment of Angel-brand Corn Flakes was sniffed out by K9 CBP Narcotic Detector Dog “Bico”. When officers took a closer look,”they saw that the cereal contained white powder, and the flakes were coated with a grayish substance.”
“That’s not Frosted Flakes—CBP K9 “Bico” sniffed out 44lbs of cocaine in a shipment of cereal originating from South America.” The CBP said in a tweet.
