Coates & Seely partners with Glass Half Full

Hampshire winery Coates & Seely has partnered with the newly-launched sales and marketing platform Glass Hall Full.

Coates & Seely is one of the five members of the new platform, alongside Italian brewery Menabrea, pickle juice producer The Pickle House, canned drinks brand Punchy and eco-friendly vodka label Sapling.

Launched on Monday, the platform was devised in London during the first lockdown to support small- and medium-sized drinks brands focusing on five key areas: on-trade sales, off-trade sales, marketing, partnerships and PR & communications.

Founder Tristram Coates, who also heads up sales at Coates & Seely, commented: “We’re incredibly excited to be launching GHF, a lockdown project that occupied the vast majority of my time last year. Too often I see young, high-quality drinks brands achieve limited growth as a consequence of being under-resourced, overworked and under-funded.

“Bogged down by administrative and operational duties, brands are often not able to focus on the things that are needed to drive their brand forwards. Using both our network and experience we work in close partnership with our brands to address this. Moving away from the traditional agency model, we are a total extension of our brands’ teams, and we act as one.”

Other co-founders include wine presenter Tom Surgey, who will be in charge of on-trade sales and business development; commercial sales specialist Helen Forward, who will head up off-trade sales and business development, Archie Wright, who will look after marketing and partnership as he does at Coates & Seely; and Immy Agnew, formerly of Condé Nast, who will focus on brand strategy and communications.
