Top London restaurants offering delivery

After just two weeks of trading, the new tier three restrictions mean that London restaurants have shut their doors again. But with the advent of make it at home meal kits and the prominence of takeaway services, you can still support your favourite London eateries over the festive season. We’ve rounded up some of the best restaurants, new and old, offering something tasty to sink your teeth into over the holidays.

Santo Remedio

Santo Remedio is offering up the tastes and smells of Mexico to be enjoyed from the safety of home. Located in London Bridge, this modern Mexican restaurant usually serves dishes from a variety of regions in Mexico, with Tequila and mezcal cocktails for a refreshing sip on the side.

Its £45 finish at home Remedy Kits, with nationwide delivery, are centred around three slow-cooked meats – bone-in short rib, duck carnitas and barbeque lamb shank – and come with corn tortillas made in-house, sides and garnishes. All that there’s left to do is heat and assemble.

Pied à Terre

Offering up the best vegan cuisine on the market, Pied à Terre has come out with a three-course delivery menu at £50 for two people, created by head chef Asimakis Chaniotis. Dishes change weekly and arrive chilled to be easily heated up at home, and this week include carrot, radicchio and shallot salad with maple dressing to start, with leek, brussels sprout, cauliflower and sage risotto as a main.

Pied à Terre is the longest-standing independent Michelin star restaurant in London, and was founded by David Moore in 1991. It was recently awarded the prize for number one vegan tasting experience in the UK.

Veeraswamy

Originally launched in 1926, the UK’s oldest Indian restaurant is now doing home delivery for the first time in its almost 100-year existence. Serving dishes like lamb handi gola kebab and roast duck vindaloo, Veeraswamy has teamed up with Deliveroo for either collection or delivery.

The restaurant has held onto its Michelin star since being awarded it in 2016, when it celebrated its 90th anniversary. A condensed version of the à la carte menu is on offer to enjoy straight away with no further cooking needed, including appetizers, mains, sides and vegetarian options.

Additionally, Veeraswamy is offering meat-based or vegetarian meals for two (£85), which include a starter, a curry, vegetable sides with rice and naan, as well as a dessert. There is also the option of the Grand Meal, which feeds six with a whole host of dishes for £285.
