Brad Pitt’s Fleur de Miraval Rosé Champagne releases in Hong Kong
This December, Hong Kong will be one of the first Asian cities to celebrate Christmas with Hollywood star Brad Pitt’s Fleur de Miraval Rosé Champagne.
In collaboration with grower champagne producer, the Péters family, Champagne Pierre Peter, who have devoted to champagne for six generations who focus especially on the blanc de blancs made from its own grapes since 1919, Brad Pitt rides on the success with Miraval in Provence to pursue the defining brand of rosé Champagne.
The product Fleur de Miraval is the culmination of five years of work, research and tasting. It is a blend of 75% Chardonnay from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and 25% Pinot Noir, then aged in cellar for three years before being released.
The rosé champagne is inspired by the legend of Provence-born Countess Fleur de Miraval who only drank rosé champagne in honor of her southern French roots. She particularly liked the grilled hazelnut aromas that develop as Chardonnay wines age, and the vibrant, fragrant fruitiness of the Pinot Noir wines obtained by using the saignée method and blended while still young to preserve their freshness.
The first edition, limited to just 20,000 bottles, was first launched in mid-October. Distributed by Altaya wines, Hong Kong is one of the first markets in Asia to receive the allocations this mid-December.
