Virtual restaurant group launches in London
Billionaire Life, the luxury dining group founded by former Formula One boss Flavio Briatore, has launched an online restaurant delivery concept called Virtual de Lux.
Bacàn specialises in Peruvian classics like chargrilled octopus
As reported by Big Hospitality, Virtual de Lux is formed of four virtual restaurants: Manhattan Kitchen, Bacàn, The Forgotten Vegetable and The Noble Tsar.
Aimed at the luxury market in London, the dishes from the restaurants will be cooked in kitchens in Knightsbridge and Marylebone and delivered around the capital.
According to Big Hospitality, Manhattan Kitchen goes big on comfort food, with dishes including Philly cheese steak sarnies, mac and cheese, and deep fried tiger prawns, while Bacàn specialises in Peruvian classics like chargrilled octopus and purple mash, and tuna and yellowtail ceviche.
As the name suggests, The Noble Tsar will offer a selection of contemporary Russian dishes like borscht and herring salad, while The Forgotten vegetable celebrates all things meat free via the likes of teriyaki roasted aubergine. If successful, the concept will be rolled out in other major cities.
