Vinexposium moves Paris show to June
Trade show group Vinexposium has announced changes to its 2021 programme of events with its headline Paris show moved from February to June and its Vinexpo shows in New York, Bordeaux and Hong Kong all moved to 2022.
The group announced that the Paris show will now take place from 14-16 June 2021 at the Expo Porte de Versailles with, it is hoped, “a comprehensive ange of French and international wine regions. An extensive networking programme will be available ahead of the event to maximise business opportunities.”
The show will be supported by a full range of ‘off’ activities across the French capital in conjunction with numerous restaurants and wine bars.
Rodolphe Lameyse, Vinexposium’s CEO, said: “After discussions with all of our partners, we have reviewed our 2021 events calendar to reflect the ongoing situation and to provide the most appropriate response to industry needs. The new dates for Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris in June 2021 reflect our desire to guarantee a successful event. Customer satisfaction is our priority which is why we are introducing exceptional conditions to support our customers’ business.”
In addition to moving one of its flagship exhibitions, the group has said the WOW! Meetings which take place concurrently with the Paris show will also take place in June, while the Vinexpo shows in New York, Bordeaux and Hong Kong have been pushed back to 2022.
Meanwhile, the group took its Vinexpo Shanghai show online from 21-23 October which it said “resonated extremely well” and attracted ‘visitors’ from around the world.
Its World Bulk Wine Exhibition will follow a similar format from 23 November to 4 December. Christophe Navarre, chairman of the Vinexposium Board, said: “The current climate requires a new approach for Vinexposium, leading to an acceleration of digitalisation in order to maintain a close relationship with wine and spirits professionals around the world at all times. The new digital platform Vinexposium.Connect thus serves as an off-stage venue for the group’s international bricks-and-mortar events”.
