RBHK 2020 reschedules to cope with social distancing measures
Informa Markets, the organiser of Restaurant & Bar Hong Kong (RBHK) and Gourmet Asia 2020, announced last week that the event will take place three days earlier than previously planned.
Originally scheduled to take place from 16 – 18 November 2020, the show will now be held from 11 – 13 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
As one of the established food & hospitality exhibitions in Hong Kong, RBHK is one of the major shows in the region featuring a range of beverage and hospitality supplies.
The show organiser announced last week that it will move the show to another spacious exhibition hall, in order to “allows more flexibility for implementing the social distancing measures and provide our exhibitors and visitors with a safe, secure and the highest-quality sourcing experience”.
The organiser team will make necessary arrangements with customers to ensure a smooth transition to the new date and location in due course.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair, which was initially scheduled in early November, will be rescheduled to 28 January – 1 February 2021. According to the organiser, this special fair edition will be reformatted from the current trade-oriented exhibition into a five-day public fair.
As the third wave of the pandemic is calming down, the government lifted the limit on social gatherings from two to four people on Friday 11 September. Prior to that, some of the major exhibitions and trade shows of the city had moved to online, such as FILMART and CENTRESTAGE.
