French show organisers launch ‘Vinexposium’
The organisers of two major French wine shows, Vinexpo and Comexposium, have announced a new joint venture called ‘Vinexposium’.
Jointly owned by the two stakeholders and managed by Vinexpo’s Rodolphe Lameyse, the new show aims to “play a pivotal role between wine regions and international markets”.
The new venture combines Compexposium’s reach and expertise as the world’s third largest event organiser and the international brand recognition and wine and spirit contacts of Vinexpo.
Vinexposium now controls a portfolio of 10 important events in the wine show calendar. To begin with there are the Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris shows, the WOW! Meetings, Vinexpo’s New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Bordeaux events as well as the ‘Explorer’ regional visits and the World Bulk Wine shows in Amsterdam and China.
Lameyse said: “We will do everything in our power to ensure that Vinexposium is a preferred partner for industry stakeholders across-the-board in the coming years. The current crisis situation underscores the relevance of this alliance and makes Vinexposium an agile, resilient facilitator of global trade in wines and spirits. We constantly liaise with our clients and partners and are ramping up our ability to adapt and offer them as many opportunities as possible”.
Christophe Navarre, board chairman of Vinexposium, added: “By enhancing its expertise, Vinexposium is demonstrating its determination to support the industry and to provide backing for companies by enabling them to adapt, find solutions and grow their presence in international markets with high growth potential and thereby continue to meet their targets despite the changing economic and social climate”.
