Aldi rolls out 13 new spirits for its summer ‘spirit festival’
UK discounter Aldi is rolling out twelve new spirits and a non-alcoholic ‘spirit’ alternative priced between £10 and £15 as part of its annual summer ‘spirit festival’.
The range includes seven gins, raspberry and vanilla vodkas under its Tamova range, two new rums, and an Aperol-like bitter orange gin liqueur, and a non-alcoholic ‘spirit’ under its new Elements gin range.
The additions to its existing Haysmith gin range comprise a classic Old Tom Gin (£14.99), a pomegranate & cucumber variant (£14.99), a golden shimmery Honeycomb Gin (£14.99) and a strawberry & lime gin (£14.99) to take on Swedish brand Koppaberg’s branded version. In addition, it has three new gins, plus a non-alcoholic ‘spirit’ under anew Elements sub-brand. This comprises a 40% abv ‘Earth’ gin, with Darjeeling tea and citrus notes, the dulce seaweed and sea buckthorn infused ‘Air’, ‘Fire’ with chilli and Szechuan peppercorns and the 0% abv gin alternative ‘Water’ – not technically a gin, but being marketing under the same range – with lemongrass, ginger and citrus.
The rums comprise a raspberry mojito cocktail rum, and a golden Gosling’s Gold Seal Rum (£17.99).
