ASC Fine Wines HK to halt distribution of Beam Suntory
ASC Fine Wines has announced that it will no longer represent the spirits portfolio of Beam Suntory in Hong Kong and Macau from 1 June 2020.
ASC began distributing Beam Suntory products in Hong Kong and Macau in October 2018. The spirits portfolio, which is going to be taken over by Jebsen Fine Wines, covers a range of Scotch, Japanese and American whiskies as well as gin, Cognac and Tequila. Its well-known brands include Yamazaki, Hakusu, Hibiki, Bowmore, Jim Beam and Roku.
Despite both companies being subsidiaries of Suntory Holdings Limited, they have come to a decision to cease their distribution partnership.
In the statement issued, it noted that “both companies are confident that the mutual decision will optimise the strategic positioning of the both parties for the long term development of the partner companies in the region. ASC values its partnership with Beam Suntory.”
ASC’s portfolio enhancement plan in Hong Kong and Macau, will be announced in due course.
