82-year-old in lockdown holds up sign demanding more wine

An image of an 82-year-old Canadian woman in lockdown holding up a sign demanding “more wine” has gone viral after being shared by her daughter on social media.

Kelly Muller posted a photo of her 82-year-old mother Annette on Facebook, after she went round to her house to check if she needed anything. Wine, apparently, was the answer.

Speaking to Today, Muller said: “That day, I pulled up and gave a honk to let her know I was there, and she was ready for me. She had a sign all ready asking me to get her more wine.”

“I wasn’t shocked to pull up and see her holding up a handmade sign. I asked her what kind, and she said, ‘Red? White? It doesn’t matter to me. They all taste the same!’”

Muller has since posted an update reporting that her mother eventually got the wine she desired.

It was also good news for Olive Veronesi, a 93-year-old woman from Seminole, Pennsylvania, who was likewise captured holding up a sign, this time requesting more beer.

Yesterday (14 April), she got her wish when Molson Coors delivered 150 cans of Coors Light beer to her home, as reported by KDKA-TV.
