US Distilled Spirits Council launches European campaign
The Distilled Spirits Council of the US (DISCUS) has launched a new marketing and communications campaign in the UK and Germany.
The campaign, beginning this month, will include press relations, trade events, industry collaborations and social media activity.
Charles McEntee, manager of Export promotions for DISCUS, said: “We are thrilled to launch this new European campaign, starting in the UK and Germany, two key spirits markets in Europe. We see a real opportunity for our spirits, with industry professionals looking for quality, craft and great taste to address their consumers’ increasingly high expectations.”
DISCUS was created in 1973 through the merger of the Bourbon Institute, the Distilled Spirits Institute and the Licensed Beverage Industries to represent producers of distilled spirits in the US both aboard and domestically.
The new campaign in both territories will be handled by Sopexa.
