Shortlist revealed for London Wine Fair Supermarket Buyer Award
The shortlist for the 2020 Supermarket & Multiple Retailer Buyer Award was announced last night at the London Wine Fair’s launch party, which took place at M restaurant in London’s Victoria.

Created by the London Wine Fair organisers, and part of the broader Wine Buyers Awards, The Supermarket and Multiple Retailer Buyer Award sees three buyers shortlisted, and they are:
- Victoria Anderson, EH Booth
- Sarah Butler, The Co-op
- Georgina Haughton, Sainsbury’s
The overall winner will be announced at the Wine Buyers Awards ceremony at the London Wine Fair on Tuesday 19 May.
The judging panel comprised editor-in-chief of the drinks business, Patrick Schmitt MW; Angela Mount, consultant to the wine industry, writer, presenter and formerly head of wine buying at Somerfield; Howard Winn, consultant and formerly product quality manager at Sainsbury’s; Alan Cheesman, consultant to the global wine industry and formerly Sainsbury’s trading director for Beers Wines and Spirits; and Chair of the Wine Buyers Award, Chris Losh.
