ProWein postponed

Messe Düsseldorf has announced it is postponing all of its shows until May including the largest wine industry trade show, ProWein.

More than 6,800 exhibitors from 61 Nations showcase their products at ProWein each year.

In a statement sent out this afternoon (29 February), Messe Düsseldorf said it was postponing, “the trade fairs ProWein, wire, Tube, Beauty, Top Hair and Energy Storage Europe. In close coordination with all partners involved, the company will promptly discuss alternative trade fair dates in order to guarantee planning can reliably proceed.”

The organiser said that having assessed the situation with regards Covid-19 in Europe and with uncertainty on the part of several major exhibitors it was following the recommendations of the German government and postponing the show.

One response to “ProWein postponed”

  1. It would be very good if The Drinks Business could give some news about the options for those who had planned to go and now have non-refundable reservations. Since the German Government recommended that the show be cancelled, will that make a difference? Have your readers had any experiences to share on how and if they’ve managed to convince hotels and airlines to refund, credit or change the dates of the reservations? What about credit card insurance? I’m going to start looking into it but would be interested to read other comments.
