Story PR founder launches CBD drinks range
Hannah Glasson, a founding partner of food and drink agency Story PR, has launched a range of CBD drinks after discovering the benefits of CBD while being treated for breast cancer.
Called In Tune, the range includes three flavours: grapefruit and mint; elderflower and hops; and pomegranate and ginger. The trio will go on sale next month at Fortnum & Mason and Planet Organic, priced at £2.29 per 250ml can.
Each can contains 10mg of ‘active’ CBD, said to be the “optimum amount for finding focus”. The drinks contain less than 4% sugar and fewer than 50 calories. They have a spring water base and contain a CBD botanical extract, fruit juice and fruit flavourings.
The CBD used in the In Tune range hails from hemp grown in Lithuania. The dried hemp flowers are exported to the UK and turned into oil in a process that also removes the THC from the hemp (the psychoactive component of cannabis).
The CBD particles are then encased in pockets of fat to create a liposomal 10% CBD solution, which is mixed with natural fruit flavours, botanicals and carbonated spring water, then gently pasteurised to create the drinks.
“We can’t wait to bring CBD to more people. When testing it, colleagues, friends and family have found that better focus is one of the stand out benefits they experienced.
“I used CBD through breast cancer treatment. It helped me feel balanced, productive and able to work all the way through that time,” Glasson said.
