Sotheby’s presents a dedicated whisky and moutai online sale

Auction house Sotheby’s first online sale of the new year in Hong Kong will be entirely dedicated to whisky and moutai.

Lunar New Year, traditionally the peak season for Chinese’s alcohol buying, is just around the corner and Sotheby’s is offering whisky and moutai collectors the chance to stock up ahead of the festival.

The 98 lots focus solely on the biggest names in both Scotch and Japanese whisky as well as the famed Chinese baijiu spirit Kweichow Moutai.

Highlights include rare Scotch such as The Macallan 1951 and the Balvenie 50 Year-Old Marriage; sought-after malts from Japanese silent distilleries including Karuizawa and Hanyu; and Kweichow Moutai from the 1990’s.
