This clean water charity will bring VR to The Wine Show Chelsea

A clean water charity is coming to the Wine Show Chelsea.

Founded in 2006 by Scott Harrison in New York, charity: water is new to the UK, having just opened its first London office.

Harrison said he “believes in a future where everyone has access to clean water.”

Charity: water has so far funded 44,007 clean water projects, and supplied 10 million people with clean water in communities around the world.

Now, charity: water hopes to raise US$58 million for more projects this year.

As part of this target, charity: water is coming to our Wine Show Chelsea this year to show how you, whether you’re representing a business or visiting as a drinks enthusiast, can make a difference.

Charity: water is inviting guests to register with The Spring, a monthly giving programme that individuals can use to donate whatever they can to help fund more projects, from digging wells, to installing water purifying systems and plumbing in local communities.

The charity is inviting attendees to “come and have a go at our VR, learn about life in Ethiopia, see what it’s like to live without access to clean water and the joy of a well being dug.”

About Wine Show Chelsea

Members of the trade will be invited to attend The Wine Show Chelsea on Friday 18 October from 1pm-5pm, when we open the show up to consumers until 8pm.

The show will be open to all wine and spirits lovers on Saturday 19 October: 1pm to 7pm, and Sunday 20 October: 12:30 to 6pm.

It is a friendly, relaxed and informative tasting, which successfully gathered upwards of 2,000 wine lovers and 400 members of the trade in both 2015 and 2016.
