Wolfgang Puck opens his first restaurant in HK
The Austrian-American celebrity chef has expanded his global restaurant empire to Hong Kong with an outlet at Hong Kong International Airport.
Owner of over 40 restaurants worldwide, including famous big names like Spago, CUT and a comprehensive portfolio of Wolfgang Puck casual dining eateries, Puck has brought his Wolfgang Puck Kitchen to Hong Kong.
The outlet has had a soft opening in the bustling arrivals hall of Hong Kong International Airport in partnership with Lagardère Travel Retail.
Wolfgang Puck Kitchen delivers a Californian-inspired interpretation of “comfort fare”. It is a full-service restaurant, offering the chef’s signature cuisine in a fast-casual setting and at an affordable price point.
Designed with efficiency for the traveler in mind, Wolfgang Puck airport restaurants and grab & go kiosks cater to customers after a leisurely breakfast or lunch, cocktail at the bar, family dinner to quick bite on the move.
What about Wolfgang Puck Shanghai?
Dining in was not bad but the takeaway is atrocious; tried a pizza which was supposedly freshly made but when I got back to the office it was dry as cardboard and tasted like it too. To make matters worse, the take away pizza on its own was more expensive than dining in for the same item, which includes a soft drink!
I think the pricing strategy has gone slightly awry there.
